Kogge studied at Parsons The New School of Design. He has been a Visiting Artist at The Maryland Institute College of Art , the Art Students League and the Yard Art School. He has received awards many prominent institutions, and has had solo exhibitions at galleries in across the country. His work is in the collections of Ivan Karp and Yale University Museum, among many others.
