Revel in spring colors as you explore varied approaches to composing and painting spring flowers in watercolor, from wet-on-wet techniques to dry brush and layered methods working from either direct observation of actual flowers and bouquets you have at home, reference photos provided for instruction, or your own reference photos of bouquets and flowers in the garden. Develop your ability to capture the model’s features and personality by learning anatomy, proportion, and color-mixing. Lessons and demonstrations will include how to interrupt proportions and views of the head such as how to paint a frontal portrait as well as a three quarter and a profile. All classes are now held online in our virtual art classrooms using zoom classrooms. Art class materials should be ordered ahead of the first class meeting time. Or you may use materials you already have.

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $75 registration fee. Credit may be used up to 12 months.
If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 3 business days after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks.
Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation is quite rare, The school reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a full refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.
Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances.
Make-up Policy
Unfortunately, The school does not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if the student wants to get the most from the course and the absence, they can tell the instructor when they will be absent and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.
