Join chef instructor Kristin "Baker Bettie" Hoffman for a virtual introductory class is aimed at building a baseline understanding of how sourdough works and is geared towards making sourdough approachable for the home baker.
The class will last about 3 hours and will be held via zoom. 48 Hours before the event, you will be sent the link for the livestream as well as an informational packet for your reference.
If you do not currently have a sourdough starter and are not interested in making your own, you may purchase the optional add-on and you will be sent some of Baker Bettie's dried starter for you to rehydrate and have for yourself.
In this Course You Will Learn:
The chef instructor will be demoing the entire process of baking a sourdough loaf from start to finish. You may also join in making the dough with her but you can still get a lot out of class if you just observe.
This class is appropiate for you even if you have no bread baking experience!
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
