Class Delivery: These workshops/courses are asynchronous, except where noted. That is, participants work at times that suit them best; however, there will be firm weekly due dates for assignments. The course instructors will act both as a leaders and mentors by offering regular support, suggestions, and direction. 

Students should expect to spend 3-5 hours per week on coursework, except where noted.

What you'll learn in this math lesson:

This online workshop will explore the mathematics that is part of the operations and algebraic thinking section of the birth to grade 2 math test (NYSTCE). The goal of the synchronous sessions is to provide instruction on content in a supportive online environment. Topics will include modeling and problem solving with algebraic expressions and equations, functions, ratios, rates, and proportional reasoning. 

This workshop consists of 5 synchronous sessions and 4 weeks of asynchronous tasks and videos that are designed to provide additional instruction and support so you can choose topics based on your comfort level.
