Learn how to submit your fiction, poetry or memoir writing for publication in literary journals. Now that you’ve finished your written work, how do you get it published? This six-week workshop will show you how.
Here’s just some of what you’ll learn:
This workshop is participatory. Students will join a weekly 1-hour online typed chat, led by the instructor, to share best practices, ask and answer questions, and celebrate their publishing successes. If you cannot attend the chat or wish to review what transpired, a transcript is posted in the classroom every week.
The online submissions workshop is taught by Peter Krass, a long-time teacher at The Writers Studio, a former writer in the school’s master class, and a published poet. The workshop is open to all writers who wish to begin submitting their work for publication.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
All classes and dates are subject to change and cancellation. We cannot be responsible for providing refunds or offering makeup sessions for classes missed as a result of students’ illnesses, emergencies or events beyond the students’ control. Please be advised that classes may go a little later or end a little earlier than the hours designated on the website. We make every effort to honor these designated times, but there is some variability.
Occasionally, a class may be canceled due to extreme weather conditions or other acts of God. We will make every effort to offer makeup sessions when it is possible, but no refunds will be granted in any case.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
