His career began after a summer of study funded by a National Science Foundation Research Experience for Undergraduates grant led to his first job at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. At the Fed, he supported academic research, briefed executive leadership on the latest financial developments, built econometric forecasting models, designed and implemented consumer sentiment surveys, and contributed to the development of new metrics of financial activity. Subsequently, he pursued a Master’s degree in Economics at Duke University under an Honors Scholarship, where he continued to sharpen his analytics acumen by supporting policy and business strategy research and co-authoring research on Energy policy. Upon graduation, Christian joined Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Analytics team where he supported global financial management clients and built scalable budget planning, execution, and tracking solutions, resulting in early promotion to Senior Consultant. Currently, Christian is a Senior Manager at American Express where he designs and implements data-driven strategies to improve cost avoidance, diversify risk, and improve top-line results.
