Erlin Sweeney

Teaches at Bird Rock Yoga

Erlin's yoga journey began during college, where she was fortunate to study under an accomplished Ashtanga teacher. Though she loved the physical challenges, what kept her coming back were the lessons she took off her mat. The practice brought her into the present, allowed her to focus, and empowered her to live the life she imagined. She soon found herself breathing through stressful situations and taking time to revel in the beauty of everyday life.

After graduation, she went on to open a retreat center in Vermont, and completed her 200 hour teacher training with Dana Rae Pare. Beyond that, she has studied with Toni Mar, Emily Burton (Anusara) and Gina Garcia (Yoga Across America). With an extensive background in dance, Erlin loves to explore graceful, energetic sequences which empower students to go deeper both mentally and physically. She is adamant about proper alignment and encourages students to listen closely to the wisdom of their own bodies. In a positive and nurturing environment, Erlin encourages students to achieve their personal best, both on and off the mat.
