Unleash your creativity and capture the vibrant beauty of spring with Corey Hilz at an enchanting garden. Master the art of emphasizing details, utilizing depth of field, modifying light, and composing impactful shots. Recommended equipment includes a DSLR or mirrorless camera, lenses in the range of 18-200mm, a Polarizer filter, and a tripod.
When you travel, the best pictures you bring home are often candid shots of people enjoying themselves, laughing, eating, playing games, having fun!
But getting those shots is not always easy. How do you get in low and tight and close, without violating people's personal space? What kind of camera and lens do you need to do that kind of photography?
Help is on the way at the All Hallows Guild Flower Mart held at the National Cathedral. This annual event brings together people from all over the Metro DC area. All Hallows Guild is giving us special permission and access this year, allowing each of our participants to have an "Official Event Photographer" badge that will allow us to roam around the event and take pictures of people enjoying themselves, from browsing the flower and crafts stalls to the colorful food vendors to the kiddie rides and more.
Our class begins with an orientation on outdoor event photography tips, camera settings and camera use. Instructor Aaron Clamage will then guide participants through the events of the fair working with each person to get the best shots.
Any camera will do, but for best results we suggest a DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses and a multi-purpose zoom lens such as 18-200 or 16-300 for quick lens work. Also recommended (but not required) is an auxiliary flash unit mounted on the camera's hot shoe. We'll will show you how to use it to get the best effect.
Please check the name and date of the class carefully.
If the school cancels or postpones a class due to weather or low enrollment, you can choose a full refund or a credit towards a future class.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
