This was a great introduction to what can be achieved by applying patinas to metal, resin and even foam. So many possibilities that I wasn’t aware of before taking this class. Marc was is very knowledgable, was very clear in his explanations and I’ll definitely be going back to learn more.

The art supply shop "the Compleat Sculptor" was very well stocked and the Staff were SUPER Helpful. The class was very informative, especially for me, since I have had mixed success with patina applications. The course was time efficient and the presenters were dynamic, knowledgeable and entertaining. EXCELLENT Class, EXCELLENT art supply house, EXCELLENT staff. Keith Watters

I thought the class was awesome. I have not received such skilled teaching in special Effects make-up course of any caliber ever. Even my son (whom was my model) enjoyed it and learned some things as well for his next "in front of camera" role. Thank you.

Doug is a good, patient teacher. He made sure to make eye contact with me, which was very helpful because I have a profound hearing loss. The classroom is very HOT. The school needs to install several large fans immediately. or, better still, air conditioning.
  • Resin Rubber Overview: Mold Making

This class was supposed to be taught by Sarah who has rave reviews on this site. The teacher was changed last minute to the owner of the space who is really knowledgeable about his products but wasn't exactly the most natural educator. It was really obvious that half the class had difficulty following what he was saying and left no more inspired to make mold necessarily. Felt a little bit more like long lecture advertising materials to buy rather than teaching how to even begin thinking about mold making.

There were only 3 others attending besides myself, and I was the only one drawing and not sculpting. I signed up for what I thought would be a completely uninstructed live model drawing session... which I basically what I got. However the sculptors received copious tips/instruction, which was fine but a heads up if talking would bother you when you’re in the zone. There was also a cat that roams the place, as a note for anyone with allergies. The model was great, 15 minute posing then a short break.
