Alexander Sierra has a diverse background. He has a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida, A master’s degree in Finance from Harvard University, and an MBA from the University of Massachusetts. He obtained all his education while working full time, gathering over 23 years of experience as a leader in Sales and Marketing. Alex has managed teams of over 130 direct reports in 13 different countries and Marketing budgets of over 25 million dollars a year. He has been able to achieve year-over-year growth for his clients from 25% to 120%. His consulting practice -Sigma Ridge- was a spinoff from the Harvard University Consulting club where he works with companies like Cisco, the largest Technology manufacturer in the world, and some of the largest fashion companies in the US.
I am sure there is more information in the deck that we will receive, but the class itself lacked substance. Of the multiple topics scheduled to be taught (Custom audiences, Bidding Strategies, FB Pixel, measurement, and integrating with other channels), we only covered Custom Audiences. I was really hoping to dive deeper into the FB pixel and measurement, but there was very little mention of that. Overall, I would only recommend this course someone who has new to FB promotion.
I was hoping to learn more about how to use the Facebook Business/Ad Manager. This class seemed helpful for those looking to market tangible products, but less so for marketing for a performance venue. It was more aimed at finding consistent customers for consistent products, with little practice using the tool. Less of a how-to than other reviews had led me to believe.

I was very disappointed how the class was run and how the teacher prioritized different subjects. while the teacher might have been a digital marketer himself doesn't mean he is qualified to teach.
