Jack Livings is author of the short story collection The Dog, which was awarded the PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize and the Rome Prize for Literature; and praised for “the range of vividly human experience it presents” (Atlantic), “his eye for sharp detail” (Wall Street Journal), and “virtuosity as a storyteller” (New York Times). 

His stories have appeared in A Public Space, the Paris Review, Tin House, and Best American Short Stories, among others, and have been awarded two Pushcart Prizes. His novel, The Blizzard Party, will be published by FSG in 2021.
