Mason has over 4 years of experience in data science with a passion for unsupervised learning. Since graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, he has worked for several ad agencies where he designed machine learning models for clients such as Hershey's, Pepsi, Estee Lauder, TD Ameritrade, and Showtime. He's also a graduate student at Georgia Tech, studying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. He loves to cook and write music in his free time.
I'm giving a rating of 4 stars because I don't feel adept enough in the topic of this class to even give it a review. The higher star rating is due to the instructor's style of teaching, which was clear and seemed to be thorough (again, not a topic expert so I wouldn't know). I would have preferred less time spent on the "roles of data science" (as in, job titles people have) and more time digging into the actual topic. It also would have been great to be able to see how I can implement data science into my current work. The examples given were helpful, but ultimately, I felt $60 was a steep price to pay for something that seemed a little like a means to filter people into one of the longer programs. I enrolled in this class to know what I don't know, and I learned that I don't know a lot, haha! I may need an INTRO to Intro to Data Science class.
