What you'll learn in this kids baking class:

Looking for a fun and engaging activity for your kids this summer? Join us virtually as we teach your aspiring chefs essential baking and pastry skills in our 3-day camp. During class, your child will have the option to cook along with the chef in real time or if preferred, enjoy the class as an engaging demonstration with the flexibility to prepare the treats in their own time. Either way, your child will gain a full understanding of the techniques.

Upon registration, you will receive the recipe packet complete with a very detailed equipment list and class syllabi. If your child will be cooking along, we ask that all ingredients are procured and measured ahead of time to help the flow of the class, and your young chef must be supervised by an adult. Please note it’s possible that not all items will be fully baked by the end of class. Curriculum is designed for ages 8 and up.

  • Day 1: Lemon Bars with Brown Sugar-
  • Day 1: Banana Pudding with ‘Nilla Wafers
  • Day 2: Chocoflan (Chocolate-Cajeta Flan Cake)
  • Day 3: Summer Fruit Crostata with Seasonal Sherbet

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy
A one-week notice is required for cancellation of any class. If you do not cancel by telephone at least 1 week in advance of your scheduled class, we will charge your credit card in full for the class. Please feel free to send a friend in your place if you cannot attend and it is within one week of the class as no refunds will be available. All classes also have a non-refundable, non-transferable 10% fee for the operational and administrative costs incurred by The Chopping Block. This service fee will not be refunded and cannot be transferred in the case of any cancellation.
