Finding Profitable Ideas for a Handmade Business is a beginner-friendly class designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs, creative individuals, and handmade product makers discover business ideas with real sales potential. Whether you enjoy making candles, soaps, jewelry, skincare products, accessories, home décor, crafts, or personalized gifts, this class will help you explore how to turn your creativity into a business opportunity.
This class is divided into two learning sections. Part 1 is a one-hour live virtual stream session that introduces the fundamentals of identifying profitable handmade business ideas, understanding customer demand, researching competitors, evaluating product opportunities, and recognizing market trends. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A session and gain practical guidance on choosing a product direction.
Part 2 consists of four online course modules that students will access by logging into their Peach Academy student account. These modules expand on the concepts introduced during the live session and guide students through researching their target market, evaluating product ideas, estimating costs and potential profit, and selecting a handmade business idea that aligns with their interests, skills, resources, and customer needs.
By combining live instruction with self-paced online learning, students will develop a stronger foundation for making informed business decisions before investing significant time or money into creating products. The goal is to help students move beyond choosing products based solely on personal interests and begin identifying handmade business opportunities with realistic potential for profitability.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
