Refund Policy
Students MUST submit a detailed written request to withdraw from a course, which CourseHorse will then forward on to the school. The request must state the reason of cancellation.

Refunds or credits are available: Full refund or credit if request to withdraw is made 3 business days before the first class session. 50% refund or credit if request to withdraw is made before the second class session. After the second class session no refunds or credits will be granted.

No refunds or credits will be issued for classes that meet four sessions or fewer. Classes include seminars, intensives and workshops.

All refunds will have a $25 processing fee deducted from the course refund as well as a $20 registration fee ($45 total).

When Baruch College cancels a course, refunds are made automatically. If for any reason the department cancels a session, then a make-up session will be offered.

COURSE WITHDRAWALS

Students who wish to withdraw from a course must notify the CAPS Office in writing. Failure to complete a course, ceasing to attend class, notifying the instructor of your desire to withdraw, or general dissatisfaction with a course does not constitute a withdrawal and does not entitle you to a refund. Instructors are not permitted OR able to process withdrawals, transfers or refunds.

MAKE-UP POLICY

If a student misses a session, the department unfortunately does not authorize the student to make up that missed session in another section. If the instructor informs the student to visit another section of his class, then that is between the student and the instructor.

Question from Jessica C.
Hi, is this class catered to people who have already started studying for the GRE? Or would it also be helpful for someone who hasn't started studying yet and needs a place to start?
Answer from Jenn C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi! This course is geared towards the test-taking skills to get a better score on the exam. Unfortunately, it is not for beginners. It is assumed that students already have the necessary knowledge, but just need to improve their strategy.
Answer from Alesha L. Verified Student
This is more of a very quick review, with no time to learn concepts. It would be good to assess where you are, but again, not to learn concepts.

My only issue was after registering with Coursehorse I had issue with the college where the class was being held and I never got an Id because I could not make it there during the week. But the class it self was wonderful and the instructor was informative and patient. I especially liked that it was a small group which allowed a lot of one on one attention.

The first and last class are devoted to a practice test. During my class, there was a substitute for one of the classes who wasn't sure where we were and normally taught a GMAT class. It was confusing. It could've been more helpful, but whatever length of class you're signing up for, know the first is a test to see where you are at, and the final is a test to see if you've improved (mostly because they offer the class over again if you don't improve at all, which is great, unless you only improve by 1 point.)
