She has written several books, was the recipient of the Botanical Garden's Instructor of the Year Award in 2003, and in 2011 was named among the Most Accomplished Women Entrepreneurs by 914INC. magazine.

Landscape Design Tips: Learning from Before and After

I loved this class! There is nothing like seeing before and after photos of a landscape- it brings a concept or idea to life. I bought Jan's book, "Gardentopia" after the class and quickly read it, cover to cover. It touches upon everything we learned in the class and more. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in landscape design. The class was 2 hours, which flew by far too quickly. I wanted to stay for another 2, or more! Jan is a veteran in her field and is very generous with her expertise. I left feeling encouraged and inspired. I hope to take more classes from Jan.
