Farmer's Market Tour + Cooking Class
The instructor was warm and inclusive as both an instructor and as a person. She guided us through the farmer's market and left room for individual discovery and then created a conducive learning environment back in the test kitchen. I loved how she would acknowledge the common mistakes made in the kitchen and humanize the experience overall. We were all different levels of cooks, but her content was accessible to all of us. Most importantly the food was amazing and I've continued to use the insight I gained there (and the recipes!) ever since. -

Greenwich Village Pizza Walk
Not only was the pizza great, but I learned much more about the evolution of New York-style pizza than I'd expected to. The choice of three restaurants took the New York pizza story from its Neapolitan roots, through old-school New York style, to the familiar modern pizza-by-the-slice storefront style, with a wealth of information about the types of ovens and ingredients used for the different styles. We also took a brief side trip past Café Wha? where Bob Dylan got his professional start, and the Comedy Cellar, perhaps the world's premier stand-up club. -
Downtown Brooklyn Pizza Walk
We really enjoyed the Downtown Brooklyn Pizza Walk. As New Yorkers we were interested to see what pizza would be showcased and while the places we visited were serving delicious pizza, we were slightly disappointed that we did not get what we consider a real NY slice (triangle slice of pizza, sauce, and mozzarella that you have to pat with a napkin to soak up some of the grease). However, we visited 3 excellent places - one coal-fired, one wood-fired, and one serving Sicilian pizza and met new people from California and Washington. All of the pizzas were delicious and the discussions about the dough, sauce, and mozzarella were interesting. Definitely recommend if you are a pizza lover and would enjoy an afternoon strolling downtown Brooklyn and eating some tasty pizzas. -

Super knowledgeable about pizza history, cooking techniques, ingredients, and differentiating the experience among 3 diff types of pizza - from Neapolitan to coal oven to more modern grandma/Sicilian. We were running late and Tatiana was extremely understanding and accommodating. She was so knowledgable, kind and inviting. We had patatas bravas and paella at Socarrat along with two wines. The owner of the restaurant even came out and introduced himself to us. After that we went to the Spanish wine shop next to Despaña. We tried two wines and had two tapas there. Everything was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our time! -

Both this course and Tatiana (the teacher) were FANTASTIC. Tatiana was super knowledge, engaging and overall incredibly lovely. She did a fantastic job explaining the wine and the pairings and augmenting the experience with additional facts and anecdotes of her own travels and she did a great job including everyone and getting all members to really engage in the tastings. Each location was intimate and perfect for the small group size. The wine store location was awesome and the folks working there added their own expertise to the tour and it made for a really great experience where you could also purchase affordable and unique wines. The last stop had phenomenal tapas and was a delicious way to end the day. I would 100% recommend this class and will absolutely be taking others! -

The class was so much fun! There were 4 of us, 5 including Tatiana. We met at the designated location point and started of down the block. The different wines and tapas we tasted throughout were great, it the owners/workers at the locations interact with you which makes it even better. Tatiana is very knowledgeable and she makes the class interactive instead of just spewing facts. Highly recommend taking this tour; 14/10. And the walking was fine even with crowds for anyone turned off by the tour part. -

Shop & Cook: Chinatown for Fish
Abbey was knowledgeable and informative. She explained how and where to buy fresh fish. What to look for and how to make decisions about whether to buy farmed or wild. Gave us some really good tips and guidelines. She showed us several techniques of how to prepare and cook fish. And everything was delicious! (But I'm still not a fan of Mackerel -

This was a very enjoyable tour! I went with my mother and brother for Mother's Day, and we had a great time tasting various wines, trying DELICIOUS foods that paired excellently, and learning about Spanish geography and vineyard regions/history. Tatiana is very friendly and knowledgeable, answering any questions you have, regardless of how relevant! I would definitely recommend this tour, and the restaurants visited/wines tasted to anyone! -

During our visits to the different restaurants, she educated us and connected what we were tasting with useful insight of its respective origin while making things fun. Downtown Brooklyn Pizza Walk
Our guide, Krista, was truly amazing. She was so informative and fun to be around, and made the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. She was the best part of the whole tour, which is saying something considering we spent several hours eating different delicious pizzas! The whole experience was so fun, and the tour group was such a cool mix of first time NYC-eras and people who’ve lived here forever, like me. I learned so much about my favorite food, and had so much fun doing it. I’d recommend this tour to anyone! -

This was such a fun tour and our tour guide was super knowledgeable and passionate about Whiskey! The tastings were amazing and the product exceptional. There’s a bar onsite where you can taste cocktails with the delicious whiskeys they make. Definitely coming back for some cocktails! -

We loved this course! Tatiana is so fun and knowledgeable. There were five in our group with varying experiences with wine tastings, and we all learned a lot. The places she chose were unique, and not places we would have found on our own. The tapas and wine were divine. We will do another course with Tatiana in the future. -
