  My 4 year old daughter and I had a great time. She really enjoyed learning how to make the cupcake from scratch. Her favorite part was putting decorating the fondant. We will definitely come back for more classes!

  My kids (6 and 8) absolutely loved this class and were so excited to show me what they had made. I loved the fact that it was hands on baking experience and that they class teachers were so prepared. Each participant had their own baking station and tray of prepped ingredients. Everything they made was so delicious!

  I find it really convenient that there is an ebook because if you miss something or want something to look back on, you can always refer to the lesson plan. I also like how the class content relates it back to purpose: why does this matter? How can you apply this to everyday life? How can you use this concept in other programs?

  I really enjoyed the goal-oriented nature of the course. Instead of only learning about the theory behind computing, we got a chance to apply what was being taught by writing code and putting everything together to build something practical. Also, we covered a wide range of topics aside from just programming like a little bit of computer hardware, files & file formats, and HTML. After taking this class, I feel like there are so many more possibilities and applications of computer science than I originally thought. Overall, I was really impressed with how well-designed the course was.

  It is a fast-paced program where the teachers do a great job of making sure everybody is keeping up. The projects and assignments were challenging and interesting as well. The only con for me was the age gap between students but it wasn't a big problem.

  I learned a lot of Java in only 9 days. The instructor was a high school teacher and he's been teaching coding for almost 20 years. He was very patient with everyone and made sure everyone understood the content. We were given breaks and a nice long lunchtime. There were a lot of topics covered but it wasn't overwhelming.

  My son attended the NextGen Camp during the summer of 2019 for 2 sessions in NYC. There are way too many positive things I can say about the staff and curriculum. Everything deserves 5 stars. Zach, the owner of the program was tremendously supportive, informative and knowledgeable about the computer science world. He advised us on what courses to take and even spent the time interviewing my son to see which program would be the best fit. He was just so patient and helpful. My son has been coding for years, but there were many gaps, we learned. The two programs he did helped him realize his holes, filled them and propelled him to learn more deeply about CS and stay passionate. What more can a camp do! If you are looking for a serious, real-deal coding camp with strong, friendly instructors who can communicate and teach - NextGen is the best summer computer science camp in the NYC area.

  My 3 year old son and I took the Galaxy Donuts cooking class at Taste Buds Kitchen and absolutely loved it! The instructor was wonderful with children, the kitchen was bright, fun and clean, and the entire activity was well run. The class was also perfectly timed for one hour so that it kept my son's attention throughout. I would highly recommend attending this class if you can! I definitely plan to attend another cooking class in the near future.

  We had a blast at Cupcakes 101 - it was a perfect father/daughter day event. I learned some skills to up my cupcake game, and we had a lot of fun together. The instructor was excellent and the shop is great to get to know!

  So, I'm giving this 5 stars because the teacher, Nick was really amazing. He was so patient and good with the kids (who didn't always make it easy). I will say-- there were adults and teenagers and younger kids in the same class. This was super fun for my 7.5 year old who learned a lot from the teens (who were very, very funny). I was expecting a different format, but what I actually wanted was Improv, and it was 2 hours of improv. So-- a heads up, this was an improv class.
