There is no other place like 92Y.
The instructor was knowledgeable and engaging The seats were extremely uncomfortable and unless they were upgraded, I would not consider another class in that room.
TCM is based in the 5 elements. Instructor class was about acupuncture, and Qi Gong. She teaches Qi Gong and she is an acupuncturist.
The instructor, Julie ensured that we truly understood the foundation and rules of the game. Constantly reviewing so everyone remembered the strategies. Great course!
Great intro class! Siu was fantastic. Wish classroom though had desk arrangements so I could take notes more comfortably.
It was the best class ever. I received a lot of one to one attention. I was able to rent a locker to keep my supplies. The class (mates) were supportive. I learned a lot of new skills. The location was easily accessible to public transportation. Although you can choose what you want to paint, the teacher provided other exercises if you choose (Like still life, etc.) .
We walked for about ten minutes. Thorough information from the guide about background of the area and current leading artists. Had pizza lunch, visited artist studio. Left me wanting more - in a positive way. Great session.
At the beginning I was a bit skeptical on how much you can learn from a 5 class course (I just had a short time window available), but -at the end of it- I can definitely say I am very happy I have taken it. Josh Bayer is a talented artist and a great, great instructor. Always on time, extremely professional but not stiff, he packs every class with a whole lot of information and inspiration. He manages to keep things simple and easy for everyone, creating a learning environment that is very supportive, engaging and stimulating. He is also deeply committed in enhancing everyone's specific skills and style. I feel I have gained a lot from this course and I would definitely take more classes with him if only I had not moved overseas! Many thanks for this course, best wishes for your future educational activities!
I really enjoyed the class. Jill was great at breaking things down so we understood the movement. It was a very welcoming environment for new comers. I already signed up for the next session.
I think I would have liked more instruction about actual drawing (techniques) and focusing on pencil.
Great class! The teachers were knowledgable and inspiring. The class had a very collaborative atmosphere and I learned a lot from the other participants. I am very motivated to bring what I learned about poetry to my classroom and to continue to write poems on my own.
