Astor Center is an educational hub housed directly above Astor Wines & Spirits. The launch of Astor Center came in 2006, when Astor Wines & Spirits moved from its original location at Astor Place, where it had been for 50 years, to its new home in the historic De Vinne Press Building on Lafayette Street. Astor Center is a state-of-the-art tasting room and learning facility designed to grow our community's love of unique wines, craft spirits, and perfectly concocted cocktails. Our public programming creates a rich environment where education and entertainment coincide.

Excellent class! Lots of great information and good pacing between giving that information and trying the whiskey. The speaker was engaging, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. We will definitely be back for more classes with him!

Very informative. The instructor was really engaging and had interesting points from her own experience to weave in to the story of tequila and mezcal. Worth a shot for both new entrants and experienced drinkers of agave spirits.

Very detailed, knowledgeable instructor, but would have preferred more time to appreciate the whiskeys vs sitting through PowerPoint slides, especially since we ran over the allotted time in order to finish all the whiskeys
