Museum Hack is a band of overly-enthusiastic, renegade museum tour guides. We lead adventures at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, and the National Gallery of Art. Our small-group experiences key on passionate storytelling, juicy gossip, and little-known oddities. It'll be the best 2 hours you've ever had in a museum.
For People Who Don’t Like Museums
Museum Hack tours focus on the incredible works hidden in deep dark corners. Our renegade tour guides will tell stories to keep you engaged in awesomely unconventional ways.
We Hacked It
Our un-highlights tour puts an alternative spin on the museum, featuring other sides to the highlights we love, as well as some of the strangest, wildest, sexiest stories hidden throughout the museum. Each Museum Hack tour is customized based on the audience. Because we have small groups, the guides can modify the agenda based on your experience.
We promise you will have an active, fun, engaging session. 110% satisfaction guaranteed.
Fun tour with non traditional facts about the art. The content is pretty subject to the guides' interests and some parts dragged while others were too fast. Overall a good experience.
Great course! Educative and fun. Jen, our guide, was super good. Highly recommend.
I had an amazing time at the Badass Bitches Tour. Jen was my guide that day and she did an awesome job at making the MET a fun yet educational experience. I would definitely consider going on another one of these tours in the future and recommend not only women but men as well to go on the tour.
Fun, informative and a couple of kick-ass guides
Jen was fun and enthusiastic from the get go! She was fun, informative and clearly passionate regarding her job, art, women artists and in telling their stories.
This is a brilliant, edgy, and relevant way to engage people in art. I would like a bit more content for my money but otherwise this was well worth the cost. Lily and Anna were terrific.
All around amazing (and informative!) time. Jen and Ben were fantastic!
The tour was entertaining and interesting! Jen and Ben (our guides) made the tour so fun and kept us laughing the whole time. We were worried about it being too long but the 3 hours flew by. It was a completely different way of touring a museum and I look forward to doing it at others again.
Emily was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and charming. I would recommend this class to anyone.
I'm not a big fan of tours, especially interactive ones... but I had heard god things about Museum Hack and I wanted to view The MET in a new way. Both reasons proved correct. Our guides, Anna (leader) and Sara, were enthusiastic, quick (witted), and interesting. They picked (what felt like, but surely wasn't) random items in The MET and told us interesting and sometimes irrelevant details about them - there wasn't one thing I found boring. Would totally recommend for new and well-seasoned visitors to The MET. Night tours are especially good, as there are fewer people about.
