Gina Hagler

Teaches at The Writer's Center

Gina Hagler is an award-winning nonfiction writer. Her publications include Discovering Quantum Mechanics (Scientist's Guide to Physics), Modeling Ships and Space Craft: The Science and Art of Mastering the Oceans and Sky, and Sammi's New Normal: Health Stories for Kids: Epilepsy, amongst several others.  She has written about science, history, health, climate change, and technology for both children and adults. 

Teaching style: Since people learn best in a variety of ways, Gina believes it's essential to present material in more than one way. She encourages participation, questions, supplemental reading, and in-class writing activities to get everyone engaged and comfortable with one another. She'll also encourage students to share any work in progress.
