Description

Learn the art of raw-edge machine applique while creating an attractive baby quilt top in this hands-on workshop. A rotary cutting machine will be provided in class to quickly and precisely cut decorative shapes such as hearts, stars, or other designs from your selected fabric pieces. This versatile technique works beautifully for enhancing and personalizing a wide range of projects, from quilts to clothing to home decor items.

What is included in your class:

  • One spool of monofilament thread for invisible stitching

Materials you need to bring:

  • One yard of background or foundation fabric
  • Thirteen pieces of fabric, each 6 inches by 6 inches, for creating decorative shapes
  • Two yards of HeatnBond lite fusible webbing
  • Fabric scissors or rotary cutter
  • Seam ripper for undoing stitches if needed
  • Rotary cutter for precise fabric cutting
  • Quilting ruler for accurate measurements
  • Pins for securing fabric layers
  • Teflon pressing sheet, optional but recommended for protecting your iron
School Notes:

Note: Please have a general knowledge of sewing and for classes that include machine sewing, please have experience using a machine.

Refund Policy

We offer store credit to be used toward a future class if notice is given at least 72 hours before the class.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
