Cancellations made 2 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider

----

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19):

The school operates on a credit only policy and does not issue any refunds unless otherwise advised and approved by a program director, or only in the event that the school must cancel the program. The credit can be redeemed for any program (and most services) at the school, can be used by any family member on your account, and carries no expiration date.

For a cooking class, a student needs to cancel 72 hrs before the class starts in order to receive a full credit.

For Studio Arts Classes, a student needs to cancel 48 hrs before the class starts in order to receive a full credit.

For programs that meet fewer than 3 times: during the costs and booking commitments associated with one or two-shoot programs, the school regrets that they cannot offer any school's credit for programs, classes, or events that meet fewer than three times per programming season. Additionally, the school cannot be responsible for providing make-ups or issuing any credit for programs missed as a result of personal scheduling conflicts, illness, emergencies, or other circumstances beyond their control.

For programs that meet 3+ times: students may receive school's credit for withdrawal from a program when their cancellation request conforms to the timetable outlined below. There is a $15 processing fee for all transfers and cancellations. 50% school credit will be granted for withdrawal from a school program when a written request is received before the second class. After the second class, JCC credit cannot be granted. (however, students may transfer from one class to another of equal or lesser value if there is space availability and with the program director's approval.) All cancellation request must be submitted to CourseHorse at [email protected] Please allow three to four weeks for processing of your cancellation request and be mindful of the timetable described above.

MAKE-UP POLICY

Question from Maria C.
Hello, I would like to visit your full day Silk painting class with Susann Punch. 1. What the supplies are your providing, if yes what size of silk and frames? 2. Are you providing the steamer to fix the silk painting at the end ? 3. Can we use this work at home or as a scarf? Thank you
Answer from Jen C.
We have two options in terms of supplies. The first, being the most popular option, is that the instructor will provide all of the supplies while the student pays a $40 materials fee to the instructor. The second option (usually for more experienced silk painters) is a $25 materials fee in which we provide the scarf and some materials in class, but the student would have to provide many of the supplies such as silk dyes, brushes, containers, etc.
Answer from Jen C.
We have two sizes of silk scarves to choose from -- a 34x34" square scarf or a 14x72” oblong scarf. After the class, our instructor will steam the scarves at her studio and she will provide pick up information to the students. After this happens, the scarves are able to be worn and washed. Our instructor sends out a more detailed version of the supply list and class information a week before the class.

This clan was very fun, and I ended up with a beautiful scarf at the end! A things to keep in mind: first, you’re working with dyes, so wear old clothes! Second, these scarves need to be set with steam for a few hours, so you won’t be able to take yours home immediately. You’ll be able to either pay Suzanna a few dollars to have it mailed to you, or you can pick it up at her home.
