What you'll learn in this beginning weaving class:
Make a circle of weaving with new and experienced SAORI weavers!
This is a special setting for 3 hour Zen Weaving session.
Focus in a calm and mindful way, and play with colors. Weave a wordless poem or your wishes for a new year, as you like!
SAORI is a ZEN art of weaving from Japan that is dedicated to free expression and self-development.
This is a special setting for 3 hour Zen Weaving session.
Focus in a calm and mindful way, and play with colors. Weave a wordless poem or your wishes for a new year, as you like!
- Materials are not included.
- Japanese tea and sweets will be served.
SAORI is a ZEN art of weaving from Japan that is dedicated to free expression and self-development.
Refund Policy
If you cannot make your class or workshop, we ask you to first consider rescheduling or finding a replacement participant for your session. If this is not possible, please read carefully below for our cancellation policies.
For a single session, needle felting and spinning class
If your class appointment needs to be changed:
- More than 8 business days in advance of the class.
- Rescheduling: Free
- Cancellation: 95% Refund
- Within 3 - 8 business days in advance of the class.
- Rescheduling: Free
- Cancellation: 90% Refund
- Within 1 - 3 business days in advance of the class.
- Rescheduling: $20 service fee per person
- Cancellation: 50% Refund
- Thereafter
- No refund/reschedule
For Advanced Class Packages
- No refund will be given after the first class.
- You can reschedule or take a make-up class with 2 or more business days notice prior to the class. Otherwise, we will count the class of your absence as a no-show.
You will be notified as soon as possible and rescheduled for a mutually convenient time. In case of inclement weather, the studio may be closed without notice.

Very cute studio, instructor shows you how to use the looms, everyone works on a personal loom and she teaches you new techniques to try thoughout the lesson. You are free to experiment as you wish and there are plenty of yarns and felts to try out. Very fun and also relaxing.

The environment was quite "ZEN" and contributed to the ease that made learning this ancient
artful skill so pleasurable. The instructor and her assistant both possessed a calming teaching
manner and the "Tea and Tell" showtime afterwards delighted everyone...especially me.
