The group guitar workshop is perfect for beginner and intermediate players who would like to take their skills to the next level.

Always wanted to learn guitar but balked at the cost of a private lessons? Learn how to play popular songs as well as blues and jazz in a group setting. Led by Chris Mariner this class will teach you how to play chords, learn a tune, write a tune, and improvise. Chris can be heard in a wide variety of ensembles ranging from straight-ahead jazz to experimental electronic outfits. However varied his musical pursuits may be, one constant is the element of improvisation; exploring the endless possibilities of the moment at hand.

Beginner level.

Refund Policy

Once students commit to participating at the workshop we hire a teacher and block the space for the class. The NYJW commits to the payment of the teacher and the studio rental and we therefore are unable to offer refunds.

We try to keep the costs for the students as low as possible and we do offer the opportunity to participate in one of our classes before signing up.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
