What you'll learn in this korean cooking class:

Let's celebrate Seollal, Lunar New Year, by making popular, festive dishes for this major Korean holiday! We will guide you through the basic cooking techniques and review the essential ingredients of Korean home cooking step by step. We'll also share tips on how to revise and improvise the dishes you learn in class with what you have available at home. Of course, we'll get into interesting bits about Seollal and learn about how it's celebrated in Korea as we sit down for our own New Year feast!

On the menu:

Galbijjim 갈비찜 - Braised beef short ribs with soy-pear sauce
Japchae 잡채 - Glass noodles with colorful vegetables
Samsaek jeon 삼색전 - Three types of savory vegetable pancakes with a spicy soy dipping sauce
Ddeok mandu guk 떡 만두국 - Handmade kimchi dumpling and rice cake soup (aka New Year Soup)
Shikhye 식혜 - Malted sweet rice drink

For the safety of all our students, we ask you come prepared for class. This includes adhering to few safety regulations in our kitchen:

Please wear closed-toe shoes
Hair must be tied back

Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone that is also registered for class unless otherwise stated.

Refund Policy

No refunds.
Students must cancel at least 4 business days before the scheduled class to receive a credit towards a future class.
Cancellations within 4 business days are not eligible for store credit.
For groups of four, we request that students must cancel class at least 8 business days in advance to receive credit.
However, we are always happy to welcome someone in your place. Class spots are fully transferable.

The school reserve the right to cancel the class if not enough people sign up by 72 hours before the scheduled class. In the event that an instructor or the school needs to cancel at the last minute, students will receive a refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee.
