So, you want to spend the rest of your life writing or performing comedy? Then it’s time to learn and practice the fundamentals that will guide you through your career. Each class will be conducted like a writers’ room on a late night or sketch show. Students will come in with pitches that will be developed, tested, and written during the class. The course will conclude with a performance by the students.
Ethan is an Emmy-nominated comedy writer whose worked for 15 years in writers’ rooms for Adult Swim, Comedy Central, HBO, IFC, FOX, TruTV, and MTV. On top of that, I’ve spent the past 10 years, teaching college kids to write comedy at NYU and Stonybrook.
Location will be in South Orange, announced closer to course start.
