What you'll learn in this kids painting class:
Ages 6-10 Kids Art Class: Creative Painting, Drawing and Self Expression
This FUN, inspiring and engaging New York City art class for children is a favorite by parents and kids alike! In this kids NYC art class, your child will nurture their imagination while receiving one-on-one instruction in our small-sized art class. Artists will learn and practice endless drawing and painting techniques through art projects such as cubist portrait paintings, pastel animal drawings, abstract expressionist art, watercolor landscape paintings, and funky fruit and floral still life projects. Kids will feel like "real artists" while being inspired by famous artists such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Picasso, Matisse and more.
Total beginners and all skill levels welcome! With a non-judgmental, enthusiastic professional NYC artist and educator as their guide, kids will thrive in our warm, non-judgmental, and welcoming art studio while they:
- Create a variety of art projects in various artistic mediums, including pencil drawing, pastel drawing, watercolor painting, acrylic painting, collage art, mixed-media art and more
- Explore, practice and learn many artistic techniques, including realism, abstraction, portraiture, cubism, landscape painting, layering, shading, personal style, self-expression, and more
- Receive one-on-one, tailor-made art instruction with talented instructors who are professional artists in New York City
- Enjoy customized, encouraging art studio instruction and small class size
- Discover the colorful world of famous artists and art history fun-facts
- Learn to express themselves authentically and freely through art
- Feel proud as they finish beautiful art to exhibit at home

Refund Policy
Class tuition is neither non-refundable nor transferable. No refunds will be issued after registration and payment. In case of a Medically Certified illness, a credit will be issued after receipt of your physician’s documentation. The value of the credit will be for the balance of the remaining class sessions with an additional deduction of a $95 registration fee. Credit may be used up to 12 months.
If after your first class you are dissatisfied with the quality of your course, a written note must be submitted within 1 business day after your first class. After receiving your note, refund of class tuition will be reviewed by our staff. If a refund is granted, processing of refunds requires 8-10 weeks. A 5% nonrefundable processing fee will be applied.
Course Cancellations
Although course cancellation is quite rare, The school reserves the right to cancel classes or change instructor assignments and makes every effort to notify students in advance. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be canceled up to 1 business day before the first scheduled class. In the event of cancellation, a refund or credit is granted. On occasion, a course start-date will be pushed back if enrollment goals are not met. In this instance, you will receive a credit for the price of the class that did not take place.
Please note that there will be NO exceptions to this under any circumstances.
Make-up Policy
Unfortunately, The school does not offer any makeups for classes missed. However, if the student wants to get the most from the course and the absence, they can tell the instructor when they will be absent and the instructor can provide some guidance on exercises to practice while away.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
