What you'll learn in this scene study class:

This workshop will focus on The WHERE of the scene. An element that often gets taken for granted in scenework. Let's take time to organically build locations from the floor up. In taking our time, what information do we learn about the WHO & the WHY?

Often an expected call is made by the improvisor, "Where are we?" An answer is heard from an audience member, "A Pet Shop," "A Gazebo," "An Elevator." Then a scene is played... BUT what if the Location, as Scotty Watson's book informs us 3x over, is more important than just that.

Location Location Location* gives us information about The WHO and The WHY. Adding focus to our location will enrich the scene and pad the importance of the scene's relationships. In this workshop we'll learn tips to help us with this element making YOUR scenework setting lush and full.

School Notes: When arriving at the location, please look for "AND" on the monitors or ask the front desk for "AND".If your class requires headshots and/or resumes, please send all materials to [email protected]
