Kim, Leanne and Betsy each have new book releases in 2014, and are on tour discussing how to “Make Your Voice Heard: The Intersection of Craft Creativity and Activism.” This panel will be moderated by New School professor and artist Sabrina Gschwandtner.
Kim Werker just published her fifth book, Make it Mighty Ugly: Exercises and Advice for Getting Creative Even When It Ain’t Pretty in September. Leanne Prain, co-author of the wildly popular Yarn Bombing: The Art of Crochet and Knit Graffiti, will publish her third book, Strange Material: Storytelling Through Textiles in October. Betsy Greer, who founded craftivism.com in 2003, published her second book, Craftivism: The Art of Craft and Activism.
Come meet your favorite authors, get your books signed, and hang out with fellow crafters on this empowering night!

We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.
- If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
- We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
