Anyone can tweet, but it takes real skill to optimize your brand’s social media presence to meet your goals. Learn best practices for leveraging Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and YouTube effectively, and the reporting tools to compare performance across channels.

This class provides you with hands-on training to quickly set up the tools you’ll need to start measuring for success. Don’t let a meager 140 characters limit your reach.


  • Use Facebook Insights to better understand changes in Facebook’s Edgerank algorithm and to optimize your posts
  • Access analytics for every single tweet you post
  • Pin on Pinterest to reach more people, maximize traffic to your site, and set up their new analytics
  • Monitor growth on Instagram and attract more
  • Access YouTube analytics to find out what your audience likes and use what you learn to maximize impact with the customers you want
  • Use Google+ Ripples to analyze social data
  • Determine which social channels are driving the most traffic to your site and which ones are converting the most sales
Prereqs & Preparation:
Please have familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube and Google+ for yourself, for a brand, or both. Please set up each social channel for your company or brand prior to the course if you haven’t already.

Please bring a laptop with wifi capabilities. Please also bring logins to all of your brand social channels, including a login to Google Analytics (if you have it). If you don’t have logins or channels set up, you will be paired with another student or with the instructor as needed.

Please read (or other social media blogs you like) before attending this workshop to brush up on social media topics and find recent brand case studies to share in class. Group class participation and discussions are welcomed!

School Notes:
For students enrolling in 12 week part time and immersive classes, it is not recommended that you book more than one class simultaneously.
