What you'll learn in this photoshop class:

Adobe Photoshop is the preeminent imaging and photo editing software and gateway to design. Develop a firm understanding of Photoshop tools and essentials, and its creative potential in the world of design and video.

Materials:

All you need to bring is yourself!
Each student will be equipped with a 27-inch iMac with 5K retina display running Adobe Photoshop CC 2018.
Personal equipment is not permitted.

Note:

The price of workshop includes a one year DCTV Membership giving you access to equipment rentals, post production facilities, and discounts on workshops and events.

Refund Policy

If you register for a workshop and are unable to attend, we can offer the following compensation:

Full refund (less 5% cancellation fee):

If your cancellation is confirmed at least 6 full business days prior to workshop's start date.

Full credit (valid for 3 months) or a 50% refund:

If your cancellation is confirmed at least 3 full business days prior to workshop's start date.

You receive no compensation (neither refund nor credit):

If your cancellation is confirmed less than 3 full business days prior to workshop's start date.
No compensation (Neither Refund nor Credit) is available for cancellations less than 3 full business days prior to a workshop's start time or for non-attendance. For example, if you cancel your registration for a workshop that starts at 6:30pm on Monday, we must confirm your cancellation no later than 6:30pm the Thursday before for you to receive Credit.

There are absolutely no make-ups allowed for any missed session(s) of a workshop. It is not possible for students to make up a missed session of their Workshop by attending an equivalent session on another day. There are no refunds for missed sessions.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

Tom was very knowledgeable and patient when you had questions or made a mistake. He even took the time to see if we had questions on anything he didn't cover but we wanted to know more about. The only downside to the class was that he didn't have any notes or handouts to give up of his own knowledge or shortcuts he spoke about in class. They were very helpful and I wish we had his "cliff notes". I took an Excel workshop before and they handed out a packet like this. He did give us some printouts of shortcuts that he found online for us. But besides that, great class!

The instructor, Rachel, was fantastic and exhibited great patience. I probably should have taken an intermediate class, but there were a few new things I took away from it and I'll definitely be a tad more efficient which is great. The one draw back in my particular class was a student who struggled extensively, dragging the lessons to a complete standstill. Every single step, and I mean EVERY single step, the individual struggled. I think it was due to a lack of basic computer command (I'm talking right clicking vs left clicking) than the course being difficult. Ultimately we didn't even get to finish the last lesson due to the extra attention this person needed, which was disappointing. Without this individual, I'm confident that we would have finished each lesson (along with the extra credit portion) with between a half hour to an hour to spare. I was hoping to have this extra time to ask more questions and be able to push a little beyond the scheduled coursework, but alas, it wasn't to be. For someone who has no photoshop experience I'd recommend this course but if you've even poked around a little bit within the program you may find it to be redundant.

I found this class to be a little bit overwhelming.... the instructor and lessons went very fast and although the instructor was very good, I didn't feel like I learned a lot in the amount of time. He was dictating what to do instead of teaching the fluid steps.

Students of Photoshop classes had mostly positive experiences witht heir teacher. They felt that the instructors were knowledgeable and patient, willing to answer questions and provide additional information. Their knowledge was so great that students wished handouts were given to reinforce training. Besides that, most students sfound value in the class, especially for beginners who had no prior Photoshop experience. They appreciated gaining some new knowledge and skills. Quotes: 1. I just signed up for a Photoshop course using iMAC to learn the CC 2018 program. This will be my first time using iMAC bc I've used PC for each place I've worked (and own one). My manager thinks this will be an issue with learning and using Photoshop on our PC computers at work. Can you let me know what the differences are in using the iMAC & PC for Photoshop? And will there be a big enough issue between the two that I wouldn't be able to transfer it over?
