Class Description

Description

Develop comprehensive expertise in Figma, starting with essential fundamentals and progressing through advanced capabilities for UI (user interface) and UX (user experience) design work.

Figma is a cutting-edge design application specifically developed for the modern needs of web designers, UX professionals, and mobile application designers. Unlike legacy image editing tools such as Photoshop, which were initially designed for print production, photographic retouching, and digital illustration, Figma concentrates exclusively on user interface and user experience design. You can produce complete visual designs and convert them into fully functional prototypes within a single integrated platform.

Figma implements frames (also referred to as artboards in competing products) to streamline the design of web interfaces for various devices, including smartphones, tablets, desktop computers, and app screens. Operating on vector-based technology allows for effortless scaling across varying screen dimensions while producing high-resolution (Retina) graphics for web and mobile use. You will discover tools and features tailored specifically for UI (User Interface) design and UX (User Experience) work, including reusable components, integrated prototyping tools, and much more.

Master the creation of advanced, production-ready prototypes with sophisticated functionality. You'll implement interactive behaviors like hover states, incorporate animated transitions using smart animate technology, make designated screen sections independently scrollable, and discover additional advanced capabilities.

Figma operates as a web-native, fully cloud-based application, which means collaboration and efficient file distribution are inherent to the platform. While an installable Figma desktop client is available, you can alternatively log into Figma using any standard web browser and begin your design work without any installation requirements.

  • Figma Bootcamp

I've been a Product Designer for 5 years, but I've never deep-dived technically into Figma. This class was amazing for me to remember the basics. It's super recommended for beginners and UX designers who feel the need to enhance their Figma abilities.
