Why give sales presentations “By The Seat Of Your Pants “ rushing and speaking too quickly to get it over with, feeling uncomfortable and not happy with your performance perhaps embarrassed afterward. Well It doesn't have to be that way You can be trained in just one or two one on one sessions or Skype, to stand up with poise, pitch your product or business with control, comfort and confidence, and be able to think on your feet with enhanced concentration and focus.
I am Natalie H. Rogers, internationally recognized as a world-class public speaking and performance trainer. Not a coach. I do not give tips or advise or visualizations that often do not work as other public speaking coaches do. For the past 20 years I have been training professionals, salespeople etc. with exercises and routines that train the brain for permanent performance skills. So that when people are looking at you (The Audience) you are able to concentrate on your presentation and pause appropriately, rather then be distracted by the negative thoughts you usually have about yourself and the audience. As a result you are able speak with control and authority. Although I specialize in Fear of public speaking, which may not be your problem, my methodology is so successful that rapid speech, um and ah disorganization, negative habits, anticipatory anxiety will be eliminated in a very short period of time. My original techniques are so powerful that I can train people who stutter to regain normal fluid speaking skills in 4 sessions. My book Talkpower, the mind/Body Way to speak without fear has been published in 14 languages. See my web site Talkpower Inc.
Great course! Some really great techniques to help deal with speaking anxiety and speech delivery/format. A more professional venue would have been good.
Thought this was an excellent session. Has really helped with my public speaking! Have done public speaking classes before, but this is the first one which took a more holistic approach to the issue, from how you prepare to give a speech, how to stay composed whilst giving a speech and even understand where your panic about public speaking may come from in the first place. Certainly worth spending the time!
As someone who suffers from sweaty palms, a cracking voice and scatter thoughts every time I speak to a large group I found this class to be very helpful. Both in terms of understanding why I was having that fear/flight trigger, and also strategy on how to mange it. Obviously with a two day course I'm not ready to give a world class State of the Union speech to thousands of people... but I would now feel comfortable joining a Toastmasters type group (where I could develop that level of speaking ability) or giving a toast at a wedding, which I certainly would not have felt comfortable doing before.
This is a great course for people who are really afraid of public speaking. I am recommding this course. The only suggestions I have for the instrctor are to be midful of giving feedbacks and general approch to people, there are several times I felt being put on a spot and felt not being fully respected. I also feel the instrcutor shouldn't rush to identify a reason for each student regading why fear public speaking(for example, a student only shared a fact from childhood about how parent's behavior may have contributed to the fear of public speaking. The instructor immedialy siad, this is it, that's why you fear started,it's your parents...ect) She doing this to every student, I understand she is trying to help to find the cause, but isn't this too extremly? You hear one fact and jump to the conclusion that may affact student's relationship with the parent's and it is not fair to say such conclusion and put it in someone's head just like that. Yes, parent's parenting style and behavior is one of the factor, but there a lot more to that. Without carefully examine the developmental process and psychobiosoical, this ruch consulusion could be harmful to the studnet. Besides the above, I still recommoned this class based on it's value and technique that helps reduce anxity and prepare for public speaking.
This class is throughly amazing. I had doubts before I started, what can someone learn in 2-days. I must say this class, has change my thought process, listening, speaking, performing in front of an audiences. My environment is surrounded in church setting. I am shy to speak up in bible studies, birthdays, praying etc, As result, This kept me away from taking advantage of many opportunities. I have learned relaxation, which was a big help to me, we were trained on an custom made map, designed by Natile,(to memorize) step by step, how to proceed whenever we're call upon.We had many excerises in front of the class, where Natile would point out in details what we are doing wrong & what must we do to get better. She is great, very very experienced. She really know her stuff. God bless her. I would suggest you make this sacrifice, and take this class. Also it refreshes my essay. Take the plunge. What can you lose? But! Only to Gain from this. Good luck
It was helpful. I wasn't able to go second day so can't honestly share total experience. I wish I did something like this 40 years ago. The group was small which was good. I had about 40 years more experience than the other individuals. Our professional expertise was diverse. Left to my career was public speaking in front of large audience at podium. Lately I realize I am the eldest in the room. My problem. I recommend it is wise to address this anxiety when young. It will enhance options in any career. I also think it will be helpful to offer courses and identify age groups. I have taken different seminars (not just through you) and I am never with my peer group. Always looking to learn but it would be better for me to be with peers. It is less important if I am signing up for crafting etc.
Natalie Rogers class is wonderful! This course will change your entire paradigm. Her step-by-step approach will give you a permanent "road map" to follow, breaking-down all the steps one by one. This course has changed my life for the better. Also followed up with Psychotherapy sessions with Natalie, can't say enough good things about her. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and intuitive. Highly recommend!!
I've taken many public speaking workshops and Natalie's TalkPower is one of the best. She uses a unique approach that no other workshop covers and I found it tremendously helpful. I highly recommend this workshop, especially for those of us with real panic symptoms, not just "butterflies".
A few months ago one of my employees took the Talk Power public speaking workshop with Natalie Rogers and the results were stark and immediate. This person had great difficulty speaking in front of others, tripping over her words, unable to look others in the eye, often reducing her speech to a whisper. All of this made her job terribly challenging as she was frequently asked to present her thoughts and findings in front of me and her colleagues. After taking the weekend seminar, this employee returned to the workplace teaming with confidence. Her presentational skills had improved dramatically, she spoke in a calm and clear voice, and she appeared far less afraid and unsure of herself. Any method that can produce such a dramatic turnaround in such a short time has my full support and recommendation.
Natalie Rogers was so amazing She.helped me to finally overcome the awful anticipatory anxiety that would come over me for weeks before I had to do a presentation.
