Graciela Fuentes

Teaches at National Academy School of Fine Arts

Graciela Fuentes is a Mexican born multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. Her practice includes video, photography and installation. Fuentes’ work has been presented in solo exhibitions in New York, Mexico, Portugal and Puerto Rico and in numerous group shows in venues such as the Museo de Arte Moderno, the Queens Museum, El Museo del Barrio, Museo de Arte Reyna Sofia, among others. Fuentes holds an MFA from NYU and is an alumna of the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. Fuentes started teaching video and photography in 2004. She believes in giving students a strong technical base to allow them to explore their creative potential.
