Jonathan Smith

Teaches at DCTV

With over thirty years experience in all aspects of media, Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his classes. Starting in Commercials as a PA, then Line Producer, followed by AC and DP. From Commercials to Corporate and Documentary, he’s filmed projects for pharmaceutical companies, Electronics Companies, corporate meeting modules and documentaries for American Experience (Daley: The Last Boss) and Rosemarie Reed Productions (Widow of the Revolution: The Anna Larina Story, Marie Curie) and others.

Recently he’s been working as an audio tech/cameraperson for entertainment television shows as well as work for NBA TV. Jonathan has been teaching audio for video and video camera and lighting as both a sub and as a adjunct at SVA, Pratt and IAR. He has guest lectured at Hunter and Hofstra. He's worked in almost all genres of media production. And enjoys sharing his knowledge with his classes.
