Guillaume Légaré was born and raised in Québec city, Canada. Before joining FIAF and working as teacher, Guillaume studied visual arts at University Laval, Québec, Canada and completed a Master degree of Art at University La Sorbonne in Paris, France. Guillaume created a new photography workshop especially designed for FIAF’s Teens and works also as a professional artist in multiple contexts, as a photographer and art thinker.
His art works and practice develop a dialog between art and communities during events, artist talks or conferences. Guillaume has been awarded fellowships from the Quebec Art Council (CALQ) during the last three consecutive years and have developed a unique way of pedagogy through art. Guillaume lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.
