Sarah Bach & Kristen Drake

Sarah Bach is a passionate textile surface designer, illustrator a
nd creator of all things tactile. She instructed two courses in Apparel and Textile Design at Michigan State University (Sustainable Design Techniques and Computer Aided Design for Fashion). Sarah currently designs at Legale Legwear, in the wonderful world of quirky socks, tights and leggings.

Artist Kristen Drake is a recovering BFA graduate, interested in the intersection of drawing and performance, and all things hand crafted. Her work has led her to pursue connecting local communities with visual arts. Fresh to NYC and working in arts administration, Kristen has big plans to never again be a nanny, and to always steer conversations back towards art history and reality tv. 

Sarah and Kristen met with divine interests in combining art & booze and all activities of the sort. After many late nights in bizarre Brooklyn venues, scouring and drinking their way through NYC’s social drawing events, they are delighted to welcome the birth of the new Astoria Drink N Draw (in their favorite NYC neighborhood, obviously).
