What you'll learn in this beginning weaving class:

In this class, you will learn the basic skills to make your own small tapestry style weaving, from start to finish.

You don’t need any experience to join this class - you'll learn how to dress the loom, start the weaving, add a pattern or two and tie it off.

Are materials provided and included in cost of the class? Yes

Though most students don't fully complete their weaving in class, you're more than welcome to keep your loom to keep working on it.

What you will take home is a pretty little wall hanging or pot holder or doll blanket, whatever you would like it to be.

Refund Policy
If you're looking for a refund or class credit, you need to back out of the class a full week before it starts. (No exceptions!) We know it's draconian, but since we aren't charging an arm and a leg and have to buy all our materials in advance, it's kinda hard to deal with last-minute bailings.

We also can't transfer registrations to a future session of the class. Sorry!

Instead of dropping out if you have a schedule conflict, a better idea is to ask around and see if any of your friends want the spot. We can't give you a refund less than a week out, even if there's a wait list for the class.

Regarding bad weather, we generally only cancel classes if the subway system stops running. If traveling during snowstorms might be an issue for you, please take this into account before registering for a class.

enjoyed this class! was at the perfect pace to learn and have fun. Very patient teacher..light music playing..creative bunch. found 3 hours to be perfect as well..you most likely won't finish your weaving masterpiece but its enough time to understand how to finish from there. Instuctor was very kind and patient.

The instructor, Jessi, clearly loves what she does! She was patient and provided clear directions. Everyone worked at different paces and she didn’t push or rush anyone to complete their project. She offered ideas and we could ask her any questions.

Jessi was great! Taught all the techniques we asked about and individually showed the group different things when asked. I also loved that we got to take our loom home! Great class structure.
