Gemma Paterson – The Balvenie Ambassador, East Coast

Born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland, Gemma Paterson grew up in the Hebridean Isle of Lewis, where she had her first dram of The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Year Old, and was immediately hooked. Gemma hails straight from the Distillery, home of our unique single malt, where she started work in 2014 as a Senior Distillery Guide.

Truly passionate about all things Scotch, Gemma spent the last few years at the distillery studying the art of making our whisky – making her an expert on our brand and everything that goes into creating the most handcrafted Scotch whisky on the market. She’s currently furthering her whisky knowledge as she works toward her diploma in Distillation from the Institute of Brewing and Distilling.
