What you'll learn in this meditation class:

This is a special setting for a 3-hour "SAORI zen weaving" session in a circle of looms.

Play with colors and textures and weave a wordless poem in a calm and mindful way. You can complete a tapestry-size woven artwork to take home.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
We will initially guide you with simple techniques, and within a minute you will be able to start weaving by yourself. Don't worry, it's like a riding bicycle, very easy and fun for all!

ZEN WEAVING IS YOUR CREATIVE JOURNEY.
Be opened-mind and follow what you like. Relax... this is "Zen weaving". It will allow you to find tranquility and relaxation in the rhythm of looming.

NO MISTAKES!
Unlike conventional weaving, we don't teach how to make a fabric like a machine-made. We always try to do what only human beings can do. No two weavings are alike. Let your creative mind find your true self by using yarns from over 500 colorful and natural materials.

Loop of the Loom is the only SAORI hand-weaving studio which introduces the award winning SAORI method as a mindful zen weaving™. SAORI is a ZEN art of weaving from Japan that is dedicated to free expression and self-development. With SAORI's therapeutic method, anyone can express oneself freely regardless of age, gender, disability or intellectual aptitude.

* Material fee will be charged separately at the end of the session. ($5 per oz) Outside materials are not allowed.

Refund Policy

If you cannot make your class or workshop, we ask you to first consider rescheduling or finding a replacement participant for your session. If this is not possible, please read carefully below for our cancellation policies.

For a single session, needle felting and spinning class

If your class appointment needs to be changed:

More than 8 business days in advance of the class.

Rescheduling: Free
Cancellation: 95% Refund

Within 3 - 8 business days in advance of the class.

Rescheduling: Free
Cancellation: 90% Refund

Within 1 - 3 business days in advance of the class.

Rescheduling: $20 service fee per person
Cancellation: 50% Refund

Thereafter

No refund/reschedule

For Advanced Class Packages

No refund will be given after the first class.
You can reschedule or take a make-up class with 2 or more business days notice prior to the class. Otherwise, we will count the class of your absence as a no-show.

CANCELLED CLASS by the school

You will be notified as soon as possible and rescheduled for a mutually convenient time. In case of inclement weather, the studio may be closed without notice.
