Marci was really knowledgeable and an awesome tour guide! I would recommend this tour.
Marcy was great, the tour was informative and fun! Just the right amount of walking and stopping, would recommend it!
Great tour! Good walking pace, great variety of chocolate samples, and interesting tidbits from Marci. I highly recommend this tour!
Marci, I think her name was...knew nothing about chocolate, talked mostly about her failing acting career and did very little that we couldn't do on our own. The tour could have been really cool but an absolute travesty when led by Marci.
Tour Guide very knowledgeable Such a pity that We were the only ones on the tour !
Awesome tour guide. Learned a lot about chocolates and NYC. The samples were all so delicious and a very good amount for the price. Eveyone at the stores were super nice.
A fun afternoon of chocolate!
Great spots for tasting chocolate dessert offerings. 6 stops in 2hrs. Tour began @ the Chelsea Market, but no stop was included inside the market. A shame, really. The tour headed to Li-Lac first which seemed like rather a long walk. Luckily the weather, for a January day, was quite mild & definitely dry. Thank Goodness. The samples offered were substantial, but came with a mild side of irony. Sometimes the patter sounded a tad condescending, as if we were a group of chocolate slaves unable to control our addidiction.....ever, ever so slight. Perhaps, I'm the only one who felt it. She did seem a bit distracted, walked a bit ahead of the group offering little to no commentary as we strolled the atea. This may have been due to number of "locals" in our group of 17. All-in-all, it was a bargin & everyone was in great spirits. Highly recommend.
This tour was definitely chuck full of chocolate and a nice stroll through Chelsea, the West Village & SoHo, but the actual "tour" itself was a bit lackluster. I expected the tour guide to be a bit more interactive and informative, instead she just ushered us from one location to the next. Once we arrived at the stop on the "tour" our guide would give us some canned information. Being a native New Yorker I was expecting some exciting new and maybe some information that I already about the area, but alas I was left feeling a bit blah. Chocolate was great, maybe my hopes were too high to the "tour" portion.
My aunt and I went on this tour Saturday and although the guide was good we were a little slower walking then the rest and got lost in the crowd therefore we only went to 2 shops to the tune of $50. The guild should have realized the whole group was not all together by stopping and checking to see if all were there or at informed us which stops we would be going to in order, so that we could have caught up with them. I would not recommend this tour for people who are not fast walkers.
